Thank you to the THOUSANDS of cyclists who joined
Bells on Bloor in 2010!
On Saturday May 29th, 2010, thousands of cyclists joined friends, family, and fellow riders in the annual parade along Bloor Street to call for bike lanes on Bloor-Danforth. In four short years, the issue of Bloor Street bike lanes has risen to the top of cyclists' (and would-be cyclists') agendas, and Torontonians were out in full force to show their support for safe, well-designed bike lanes.
Clay & Paper Theatre animated the event, creating a musical-on-wheels, and Sweet Pete's Bike Shop once again gave away bike bells to all participants to ring along the way.

TWO THOUSAND cyclists joined Bells on Bloor in 2009!
On Sunday May 31st, 2009 Bells on Bloor continued its exponential growth with two thousand cyclists joining the pedal-powered parade in support of safe, well-designed bike lanes, especially on Bloor Street.
Torontonians have continued their call on City Hall, and a city staff report has concluded that a bikeway on Bloor is indeed feasible. An environmental assessment of a 24km stretch of Bloor-Danforth is currently underway, which is expected to be the final study in what has been a long process. So join Bells on Bloor in 2010 and let your local politicians know that you support a bike lane on Bloor now!

Bells on Bloor 2007
The inaugural Bells on Bloor event was held on Sunday Sept. 23, 2007.
It was a phenomenal success, with more than 500 people showing up to call for safer cycling on Bloor Street.
The parade of bicycles stretched as far as the eye could see, with young and old alike ringing their bells along the way.
Passing motorists honked in support and local businesses came out to cheer us along.

Thank you to the Toronto Police Service who pedalled along with us and who graciously agreed to block traffic to help us through the intersections.
Did you come out to Bells on Bloor 2007? You helped make a difference!
Shortly after the event, Toronto City Council approved a recommendation to conduct a study of installing bike lanes on Bloor!
But, we can't ride our bikes on a "study," so come out to our next event and help keep the pressure up!
